The Government of Goa, on June 30, 2026, issued the Viksit Bharat— Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB –G RAM G (GOA) Scheme 2026.
The following has been stated:-
•The "Viksit Bharat- Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) VB-GRAM G (GOA) Scheme 2026" rolls out across all rural areas of Goa to enhance rural livelihood security.
•The initiative aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047 by legally guaranteeing a minimum of 125 days of unskilled manual wage employment per financial year to participating households.
•Developed via a bottom-up framework, the scheme targets comprehensive development focusing on water security, foundational core infrastructure, livelihood creation, and extreme weather disaster preparedness.
•Governance is strictly direct, prohibiting contractors and deploying digital ecosystems including biometric attendance, real-time MIS tracking, and bi-annual social audits to maintain total transparency.
•Finally, the financial framework operates as a Centrally Sponsored Scheme with a clear 60:40 cost-sharing ratio between the Central Government and the Government of Goa.
It shall come into force from July 01, 2026, except the chapters IX and X of the scheme.
