Labour ComplianceThe Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), in June 2026, issued an order under Rule 8(4) of the Official Language Rules, 1976, directing that employees posted in the Benefit Branch of the ESIC Sub Regional Office, Vadodara (Gujarat) who have attained proficiency in Hindi shall use only Hindi for noting, drafting, and all other official purposes with effect from the date of issuance of the order.

The order clarifies that where the use of any other language is specifically required under any law or applicable rules, such language may continue to be used for the concerned official work.
