Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) on June 29, 2026, notified regarding the withdrawal of the temporary restrictions on the sale and distribution of Petrol and Diesel.

The Ministry has withdrawn the temporary restrictions on the sale and distribution of Motor Spirit (petrol) and High Speed Diesel (HSD) through Public Sector Oil Marketing Company retail outlets with effect from July 01, 2026. These restrictions, introduced on June 12, 2026, during the West Asia crisis, limited the sale of HSD to 200 litres per customer/vehicle per day and required industrial, institutional, and commercial consumers to purchase fuel through designated consumer pumps to prevent diversion, hoarding, and black marketing while ensuring adequate fuel availability for retail consumers.

Following an improvement in the country's petroleum supply situation, the Government has determined that these temporary measures are no longer necessary, and normal fuel supply arrangements have been restored.
