The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding amendments to the guidelines for Trade Regulations, Accreditation and Compliance Enablement under Export Promotion Mission (EPM) - Niryat Disha.
The following has been stated:-
•The amendment of the operational guidelines for the TRACE scheme under the Niryat Disha Export Promotion Mission updates the uniform financial assistance for all MSMEs involved in international value chains, replacing the previous tiered system with a standard cumulative maximum reimbursement of ₹25 lakh per IEC per financial year.
•Additionally, the disbursement process is restructured into two equal instalments of 50% each: the first is released upon successful certification completion, while the second is contingent on demonstrating linked exports.
•The notice also establishes a strict two-year window from the initial disbursement to provide proof of exports, warning that failure to do so will result in the lapse of the second instalment and potential recovery of the first.
•Finally, it expands the Positive List of eligible testing, inspection, and certification processes to a dynamic roster of 462 entries spanning multiple countries and global sectors.
