The Department of Urban Development, Himachal Pradesh, on June 23, 2026, issued a notification regarding the mandatory adoption of the UPYOG Platform.
The following has been stated:-
•The Department of Urban Development has mandated the use of the web-based UPYOG platform across all municipal bodies in Himachal Pradesh to digitize citizen-centric and financial services.
•All financial operations, including budgets, receipts, and asset management, must comply with the Himachal Pradesh Municipal Accounting Manual, 2025.
•Starting August 01, 2026, all legacy data and new transactions must be fully digitized and integrated through this portal.
•Local municipal officials are strictly responsible for achieving 100% data entry compliance and must submit a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) certificate before active deployment.
