Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on July 01, 2026, launched the Online Portal for Submission of Applications Relating to Change in Particulars of Depository Participants (DPs).

With effect from July 1, 2026, Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) has introduced a mandatory online portal for Depository Participants (DPs) to submit requests for modifications in their particulars. These include changes in name, registered address, directors, and shareholding pattern (without change in control). Physical submissions are no longer accepted, except for submitting the original DP Registration Certificate in case of name change.

The portal enables online application submission, real-time tracking, electronic communication, and faster processing. DPs must upload all required documents in the prescribed format with digital signatures and use existing login credentials to access the system.

Strict compliance timelines have been introduced—DPs must respond to queries and complete submissions within seven working days, failing which the application will be closed. CDSL also provides dedicated support via email and phone for assistance with the portal and submission process.
