The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on July 01, 2026, notified regarding the Mock trading on Saturday, July 04, 2026 – Testing of Trading modalities related to the Introduction of the Closing Auction Session (CAS) in the Equity Cash segment.
The following has been stated:
• NSE through circular NSE/CMTR/74466 dated May 29, 2026, has announced the conduct of a mock trading session in the Capital Market segment on July 04, 2026, for the introduction and testing of the Closing Auction Session (CAS) in the equity cash segment, The mock will run in three sessions—Session 1 for CAS testing using NEATPlus version 7.8.9, followed by Sessions 2 and 3 using version 7.8.8 under normal trading modalities. Trades from Session 1 will not carry forward, while Session 2 trades will carry to Session 3.
• The schedule includes multiple market segments such as pre-open, block deals, T+0, auction market, CAS window, and closing session, with specific timings for each. Members must download required master files from the NSE extranet and ensure system readiness. The circular also mandates the use of the updated NEAT adapter (v1.0.29), new CA certificate, and revised connectivity ports for encryption changes.
• Additional CAS mock sessions are planned for July 11, 18, and 25, 2026, and CAS is expected to go live on July 06, 2026, subject to successful testing.
