Commercial ComplianceThe Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on June 30, 2026, issued the Guidelines for Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026.

The following has been stated:-

•This document outlines the official guidelines issued by India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry to operationalize the Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026. 

•It establishes a risk-based facilitation mechanism designed to enhance the ease of doing business, support supply chain resilience, and promote advanced technology adoption while maintaining conformity with Indian Standards. 

•Eligible companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, can apply for exemptions through the National Single Window System or via physical submission to the DPIIT. 

•An Implementation Committee will assess applications based on technical capability, quality control systems, and commitments to strengthen domestic manufacturing infrastructure. 

•Approved companies will receive conditional permission letters detailing validity periods, quantity limits, and strict project implementation milestones. 

•To ensure ongoing compliance, businesses must submit annual reports certified by a Chartered Accountant, file quarterly consignment updates, and cooperate with regular market surveillance.
