BSE Mock Trading Session Scheduled for Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) Segment

Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), on July 2, 2026, issued a notice scheduling a mock trading session for the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) segment on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The mock session is intended to facilitate testing of trading systems and enable Trading Members to comply with SEBI's software testing requirements prescribed under the circular dated November 24, 2020.

Trading Members may participate either in the mock trading session or the UAT environment to fulfil their regulatory testing obligations. Members using third-party trading platforms or in-house systems through IML/ETI APIs are encouraged to test their trading applications for various functionalities, including risk-reduction mode, trading halts, and other exceptional market conditions. The Exchange has also informed that BOLT Pro TWS Version 13.11 will be released separately through another circular.

The mock trading session will include login from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by pre-open order entry (11:00 AM–11:08 AM), matching (11:08 AM–11:15 AM), continuous trading (11:15 AM–3:30 PM), block deal window (12:00 PM–12:15 PM), closing session (3:30 PM–3:40 PM), and post-closing session (3:40 PM–3:50 PM). The Exchange clarified that trades executed during the mock session are solely for testing and familiarisation purposes and will not attract any margin, pay-in, pay-out, or settlement obligations, nor create any rights or liabilities. Trading Members have been requested to actively participate and submit their feedback by 4:30 PM.
