The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 02, 2026, notified regarding the Revision in the strike price interval of BSE FOCUSED IT Options Contracts.
The following has been stated:
• The BSE has revised the strike price interval and strike scheme for Futures and Options (F&O) contracts on the BSE Focused IT Index, effective from the August 2026 monthly expiry. The strike price interval has been reduced from 250 index points to 100 index points, while the minimum number of option strikes has been increased from 29 to 71 (35 in-the-money, 1 at-the-money, and 35 out-of-the-money), providing finer strike granularity and greater trading flexibility.
• The revised options contracts will be included in the equity derivatives contract master file on July 30, 2026, and will be available for trading from July 31, 2026. For the existing August and September 2026 series, strike prices ending in 250 and 750 with nil open interest will be discontinued and replaced with strikes in multiples of 100. However, contracts with open interest at these strike levels will continue until their respective expiries.
• Trading members are advised to download the updated contract master file from the Member Extranet before the changes become effective.
