Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE), on July 3, 2026, issued a circular modifying the collateral framework for the Commodity Derivatives Segment. In partial modification of its earlier circular dated April 30, 2026, the Clearing Corporation has revised the denomination in which bullion collateral may be deposited by clearing members.

Under the revised provisions, clearing members may now place bullion (including gold and silver) accepted as collateral in multiples of 1 gram, replacing the earlier requirement of multiples of 1 kilogram. All other provisions relating to bullion accepted as collateral shall continue to remain unchanged.

The revised collateral acceptance criteria shall come into effect from July 6, 2026, providing greater operational flexibility to clearing members while maintaining the existing collateral framework.
