The Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) on July 03, 2026, issued instructions regarding provisional assessment and furnishing of guarantee in respect of imports of “Glufosinate and its salt” originating in or exported from China PR.
The following has been stated:-
•Pending the anti-absorption review of anti-dumping duty on imports of Glufosinate and its salt from China PR, such imports will be subject to provisional assessment.
•Customs authorities have been directed to obtain an additional guarantee of USD 7.04 per kg from importers, over and above the existing anti-dumping duty, effective from March 02, 2026.
•Field formations must also ensure compliance with the Minimum Import Price (MIP) prescribed by the DGFT.
•Officers have been instructed to implement these measures strictly until the review is concluded.
