The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on June 29, 2026, issued the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Seventh Amendment Order, 2026 to further amend the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985.
The following amendments have been stated:
In the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Order, 1985 (hereinafter referred to as the said Order), in clause 2, –
(a) in sub-clause (h), after the words “Compressed Bio Gas plants”, the words “and Bio Gas plants” shall be inserted;
(b) in sub-clause (ooa), after the words “Compressed Bio Gas plants”, the words “and Bio Gas plants” shall be inserted.
• In the said Order, in clause 8, in sub-clause (3), for the Seventh proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely: –
“Provided also that the manufacturer of Fermented Organic Manure and Liquid Fermented Organic Manure, shall not be required to obtain the authorisation letter under sub-clause (3) of clause 8 of this Order for a period of ten years from the date of publication of the Fertiliser (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Seventh Amendment Order, 2026.”.
• In Schedule VIII, in the heading “Organic Carbon Enhancer from Compressed Bio Gas plants”, after the word “plants”, the words “and Bio Gas plants” shall be inserted.
