The Government of Punjab on July 01, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Grants 100% CLU Charge Exemption and EDC Infrastructure Utilization for Eligible Units under 2026 Policies
The following has been stated namely: -
• 100% CLU (Change of Land Use) charge exemption has been granted to eligible units under the Punjab Logistics & Warehousing, Hospital & Medical College, and Higher Education Investment Policies, 2026.
• The exemption applies only to units issued an eligibility certificate by the competent authority.
• Eligible MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) projects under the Punjab Tourism & Hospitality Policy 2026 will also receive 100% CLU charge exemption.
• The exemption is subject to compliance with prevailing Punjab Municipal Building Bye-laws, including siting guidelines.
• 100% of External Development Charges (EDC) collected from industries will be utilized for infrastructure development (roads, power, water, sewerage, etc.) for the concerned unit or industrial cluster.
