The Ministry of Textiles on June 29, 2026, issued notification on Maximum Ex-Factory Price Fixed for 580 gm B-Twill Jute Bags (Type A & B) for June 2026.
The Deputy Jute Commissioner has, under the Jute and Jute Textiles Control Order, 2016, finally fixed the maximum ex-factory price for 580 gm B-Twill Sacking Jute Bags (Type A and Type B). The price has been set at ₹2,21,407 per metric tonne, equivalent to ₹12,841.59 per 100 bags, applicable uniformly to both bag types (without linkage).
The notification specifies that Type A and Type B bags of size 94 cm × 57 cm and 580 gm weight, conforming to BIS Standard IS: 16186:2014, are to be bought and sold for the month of June 2026. These bags must meet prescribed technical parameters such as ends per dm, pecks per dm, and minimum breaking strength as per BIS standards.
Additionally, each bag must carry mandatory markings, including the prescribed emblem, the manufacturing mill’s name, and BIS certification marking, in line with instructions issued by the Jute Commissioner’s office.
The notified price is exclusive of GST, which will be payable separately by the purchaser over and above the fixed ex-factory price.
