Labour ComplianceThe Labour Department, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh on June 30, 2026, notified regarding the Third Party Audit Scheme and Third Party Consultant Scheme.

The following has been stated:

• The Government has introduced a risk-based inspection system by replacing the earlier inspection mechanism with a Third-Party Inspection (Audit) framework, under which industrial and commercial establishments are categorized as low, medium, and high risk. To strengthen and simplify compliance with labour laws, the government has notified the Third Party Audit Scheme, enabling the empanelment of labour law and technical audit firms to provide voluntary audit services to industries. 

• Further, the Third Party Advisory Scheme has been issued to facilitate expert guidance through labour law and technical consultants on compliance with labour laws, occupational safety, health, and working conditions. The objective of these initiatives is to promote a culture of compliance, ensure workplace safety, protect workers’ interests, and provide structured expert support to industries. 

• Authorities have been directed to ensure wide dissemination of these schemes among medium-risk establishments through industry associations, awareness programmes, official platforms, and stakeholder engagement, and to encourage the use of empanelled auditors and advisors while submitting periodic progress reports on implementation
