The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on July 01, 2026, notified regarding the employer contribution rate under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme, 2026.
It has been notified that, under Section 16(1)(c) of the Code on Social Security, 2020, every employer shall contribute 0.5% of the wages payable to each employee every month to the Insurance Fund established under the Code. The contribution will be payable under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme, 2026, and shall be effective from June 29, 2026, the date of commencement of the Scheme.
