The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoH&UA) on July 03, 2026, issued notification on expansion of NCR Area: Central Government Revises Rajasthan District Coverage under NCRPB Act, 1985.
The Central Government has amended the Schedule of the National Capital Region Planning Board Act, 1985, exercising its powers under the Act and in consultation with participating states. These amendments revise the geographical coverage of the National Capital Region (NCR) with respect to areas in the State of Rajasthan.
As per the revised entries, the entire districts of Alwar, Kherthal-Tijara, Bharatpur, and Deeg have been included in the NCR. Additionally, specific tehsils of the Kothputli-Behror district—namely Behror, Bansur, Neemrana, Mandan, and Narayanpur—have also been brought under NCR limits, while Kotputli, Viratnagar, and Pavta tehsils are excluded.
This amendment aims to expand and rationalize the NCR boundaries, ensuring better regional planning, infrastructure development, and coordinated urban growth across adjoining areas of Rajasthan.
