The National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 06, 2026, issued Advisory for Financial Sector Organizations regarding Software as a Service (SaaS).
The circular refers to earlier guidelines issued by SEBI and NCDEX regarding the use of Software as a Service (SaaS)-based solutions by financial sector organizations. It mandates trading members to comply with information security and regulatory requirements when using such cloud-based services.
Members utilizing SaaS solutions are required to submit a half-yearly compliance report for the period January 2026 to June 2026. The submission deadline is July 31, 2026, and reports must be filed through the NCFE portal under the specified compliance section or via the designated email ID.
Further, as per the technology-based sharing mechanism introduced earlier, members who are also registered with NSE are required to submit their SaaS compliance reports only to NSE. Members not registered with NSE must continue submitting their reports directly to NCDEX following the existing process.
The circular ensures streamlined compliance reporting and reinforces adherence to cybersecurity and data protection standards in the adoption of SaaS solutions within the financial ecosystem.
