Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 06, 2026, notified regarding the Exposure on Interest-Free Security Deposit (IFSD).

The Exchange has clarified that all members shall continue to maintain the mandatory Interest-Free Security Deposit (IFSD) throughout the duration of their membership, as prescribed under the Exchange Circular dated August 02, 2018. 

Effective July 13, 2026, the Exchange will provide margin exposure benefits against the ₹10 lakh IFSD maintained by members. Any shortfall in the required IFSD will result in the immediate disablement of the trading terminal, while the refund of the deposit will continue to be governed by the Exchange's prescribed refund guidelines.
