The UT Administration of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu on June 30, 2026, issued draft Right of Citizens to Public Services (Amendment) Rules, 2026, to amend certain provisions of the Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (Right of Citizens to Public Services) Rules, 2022.
The following has been stated:-
•The U.T. Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu has published the draft Right of Citizens to Public Services (Amendment) Rules, 2026 under the Gujarat Right of Citizens to Public Services Act, 2013.
•The proposed amendments aim to strengthen the grievance redressal mechanism through automatic electronic generation and escalation of complaints and appeals.
•The changes are intended to improve the timely delivery of notified public services and enhance administrative efficiency.
•The draft rules have been released for public objections and suggestions, which may be submitted in writing within 30 days.
