Labour ComplianceThe Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE) on July 06, 2026, notified the Format for Reporting Accidents Involving Rescue Apparatus under the OSHWC (Central) Rules, 2026.

The Ministry notified the standard reporting format for accidents arising from the use of rescue apparatus in underground mines, rescue stations, and rescue rooms under Rules 131(6) and 131(7) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026. The prescribed format requires mine managers or rescue superintendents to report accidents to the Chief Inspector-cum-Facilitator and Inspector-cum-Facilitator. The report shall include details such as the location and time of the accident, number of fatalities or serious injuries, particulars of the rescue apparatus involved, cause of the accident, and information about the affected persons. The standardized reporting mechanism aims to ensure timely reporting, effective investigation, and improved safety oversight in mining operations.
