The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on July 07, 2026, issued a corrigendum to its notification dated November 21, 2025, issued under the Aadhaar Act, 2016, and the Aadhaar Authentication for Good Governance (Social Welfare, Innovation, Knowledge) Rules, 2020.
The corrigendum expands the reference from “PFMS Mobile Application” to “PFMS Web and Mobile Applications.” It also broadens the authentication mechanism by allowing users to verify their identity using either their bank account number or registered PAN, along with an OTP sent to the mobile number linked with the respective bank account or PAN, thereby enhancing flexibility in user authentication for PFMS services.
