The Transport and Road Safety Department, Govt. of Rajasthan on July 02, 2026, issued grants of the Motor Vehicle Tax Waiver under ‘Naya Safar Yojana’.
The Government has issued a notification exempting eligible vehicle owners in the National Capital Region (NCR) from payment of Motor Vehicle Tax, One Time Tax, Special Road Tax, Lump Sum Tax, surcharge, penalty, and interest outstanding up to March 31, 2025. The exemption applies to vehicles registered up to May 31, 2026, provided the owner opts for the "Naya Safar Yojna" and the vehicle is found eligible and registered under the scheme. The notification defines "Naya Safar Yojna" as the scheme issued by the Government of India.
