The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on July 08, 2026, issued extension of Interim Administrative Frequency Assignments.
The Department had earlier allowed frequency assignments made through administrative processes to continue as an interim measure for three months beyond 12 April 2026 (i.e., till 12 July 2026), or until notification of rules under the Telecommunications Act, 2023, whichever occurred earlier. These assignments were subject to specified terms and conditions.
It has now been decided to extend this interim arrangement by a further three months beyond 12 July 2026, or until the notification of the relevant rules under the Telecommunications Act, 2023, whichever is earlier. The extension will continue under the same terms and conditions as previously prescribed.
