•The Rajasthan Aerospace and Defence Policy 2026 outlines a strategic framework to position Rajasthan as India's premier hub for aerospace and defense manufacturing, aiming to achieve national self-reliance and bolster regional economic growth.
•The policy is designed to attract Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by establishing a robust ecosystem of infrastructure, testing facilities, and skilled human resources.
•It incentivizes private sector participation through fiscal and non-fiscal benefits, driving technological advancement, employment generation, and public-private partnerships.
•Backed by significant national defense budget allocations and specialized research funding, the state capitalizes on its strategic location and existing industrial base to foster local innovation.
•Ultimately, the initiative seeks to create a globally competitive environment that accelerates indigenous production and enhances India's strategic defense capabilities.
