The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on July 08, 2026, notified regarding the fixation of a separate retail price for Glycopyrronium, Formoterol Fumarate, and Budesonide Inhalation Suspension.
The following has been stated:
• NPPA has fixed a separate retail price for Glycopyrronium 25 mcg + Formoterol Fumarate 20 mcg + Budesonide 500 mcg Inhalation Suspension (Smartules) manufactured by M/s Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited under Paragraph 11(3) of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. Based on the recommendations of the Multidisciplinary Committee of Experts and approved in the 148th Authority Meeting held on July 07, 2026, NPPA has fixed the retail price at ₹56.35 per ml (exclusive of GST) for the 2 ml pack, recognizing the formulation as an incremental innovation offering improved administration, reduced nebulisation time, and better patient compliance.
• The new price supersedes the earlier notified retail price of ₹49 per ml issued on December 24, 2025, and applies only to M/s Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Limited, subject to compliance with the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013.
