The Tea Board India on July 09, 2026, issued a circular regarding the rollout of the Online "Tea Mark" Licensing Portal and 'Tea Marketplace' Portal.
The following has been stated:-
•The Tea Board has officially launched the online "Tea Mark" Licensing Portal and Tea Marketplace Portal to facilitate voluntary Tea Mark certification and promote domestic tea sales.
•The Tea Mark certification scheme is open to registered mini tea manufacturers and bought leaf factories under the Tea (Marketing) Control Order, 2003, without imposing any trade restrictions.
•Only authorised users obtaining Tea Mark certification may use the Tea Mark logo and must comply with the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
•The portals enable online licensing, batch-wise approvals, and listing and purchase of Tea Mark-certified teas through the Tea Board's dedicated e-commerce platform.
