The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on July 08, 2026, issued a notification regarding the revision of the ceiling price of Anti-Rabies Immunoglobulin under DPCO, 2013.
The following has been stated:-
•The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has revised the ceiling price of Anti-rabies Immunoglobulin Injection (300 IU/ml) under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, implementing the Department of Pharmaceuticals' review order and applying the 2026 WPI adjustment of 0.64956%.
•The revised ceiling price has been increased from ₹112.19 to ₹119.48 per ml, exclusive of applicable GST.
•Manufacturers selling the formulation above the revised ceiling price must reduce their prices accordingly, while those with lower existing MRPs may continue to maintain them.
•The notification also reiterates compliance requirements relating to price lists, quarterly reporting, prior price approval for new drugs, and discontinuation notices.
•Earlier price orders for the formulation stand superseded by this notification.
