The Sugarcane Industry Department, Govt. of Bihar on July 08, 2026, notified regarding the Sugarcane Requirement for Sugar Mills for Crushing Season 2026–27.
The Bihar Government, exercising powers under Section 27(2) of the Bihar Sugarcane (Regulation of Supply and Purchase) Act, 1981, has notified the Normal Cane Requirement (NCR) for 10 sugar mills for the 2026–27 crushing season. The total sugarcane requirement has been fixed at 809 lakh quintals, with individual allocations ranging from 43 lakh quintals to 165 lakh quintals. The notified quantities will serve as the basis for planning sugarcane procurement and supply to the respective sugar mills during the crushing season.
