The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI), on July 13, 2026, released the Consumer Price Index (CPI) press release (Base Year: 2024=100) for June 2026, reporting that the year-on-year retail inflation based on the All India CPI stood at 4.38% (Provisional) compared to June 2025.
The release also stated that the Consumer Food Price Index (CFPI) recorded a year-on-year food inflation of 5.32% for June 2026. Rural retail inflation was 4.74%, while urban retail inflation was 3.92%.
The CPI figures provide the latest official measure of retail price movements and food inflation across the country, serving as key indicators for inflation monitoring and policy assessment.
