The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoLE), on July 7, 2026, notified the form of the Notice of Periodical Medical Examination to be issued by a mine manager to persons required to undergo periodic medical examination under Rule 111(2) of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions (Central) Rules, 2026.
The notification prescribes the standard format containing details such as the employee's particulars, nature of employment, examining authority, place, date, and time of the medical examination. A copy of the notice must also be sent to the designated examining authority. The prescribed form is applicable to all mines and is intended to facilitate compliance with the statutory requirements for periodic medical examinations.
Employees are required to present themselves for the scheduled medical examination, and failure to do so without reasonable cause may render them ineligible to continue employment in the mine from the specified date.
