Labour ComplianceThe Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on July 07, 2026, notified regarding the implementation of the approved Policy for Strengthening of the National Litigation Committee (NLC) to reduce Administrative Litigation.

The following has been stated:

• The policy aims to reduce avoidable administrative litigation, ensure uniform interpretation of statutory provisions and administrative instructions, improve litigation management, and facilitate timely implementation of judicial decisions across all ESIC offices. The NLC, comprising senior ESIC officers and legal experts, will review recurring litigation, recommend administrative resolutions, monitor compliance with judicial directions, and oversee a Digital Litigation Dashboard under Panchdeep 2.0. 

• The policy also prescribes a structured procedure for referring cases to the NLC through designated administrative authorities, prohibits direct representations from employees, and requires references to be submitted in a prescribed format with supporting documents, generally within 30 days of identifying the issue.
