Commercial ComplianceThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 14, 2026, notified regarding the Launch of Global Outreach for Branding, Labelling and Export Packaging under Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Disha.

The following has been stated:

• DGFT has launched the Global Outreach for Branding, Labelling and Export Packaging initiative under the Export Promotion Mission (EPM) – Niryat Disha, with immediate effect. The initiative aims to strengthen "Brand India" by creating a unified national branding framework, promoting sector-specific branding, improving packaging and labelling standards, and enhancing the global recognition and competitiveness of Indian goods and services. 

• It provides financial assistance to eligible government bodies, Export Promotion Councils, industry associations, and export clusters for branding campaigns, digital marketing, packaging improvements, trade promotion, and international outreach. 

• The scheme also introduces a voluntary Unified Brand India Trust Mark with certification to enhance the credibility of Indian exports, with a special focus on supporting MSMEs, startups, and first-time exporters in expanding their presence in global markets. 

• Stakeholder comments have been invited by August 13, 2026.
