The following has been stated:
• It has issued operational guidelines for the issuance of Certificates of Origin (CoO) under the India–United Kingdom Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (India–UK CETA), effective July 15, 2026. Exporters are required to submit CoO applications electronically through the DGFT Trade Connect/eCoO platform using a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC), after which the designated issuing agency will verify and approve the application.
• Upon approval, an electronic Certificate of Origin (eCoO) bearing a unique reference number, QR code, and digital signature will be generated to avail preferential tariff benefits under the Agreement.
• The guidelines also emphasize that exporter details must match DGFT records and encourage exporters to use the DGFT Helpdesk and support channels for assistance during the application process.
