The Agriculture Department, Government of Himachal Pradesh on July 01, 2026, exempted milk-producing societies from the payment of the market fee on milk.
The Government has exempted milk-producing societies in the State from payment of market fee on milk, a scheduled agricultural produce under the Himachal Pradesh Agricultural and Horticultural Produce Marketing (Development and Regulation) Act, 2005. The exemption applies to market fees payable under Sections 44 and 45 and is effective retrospectively from April 1, 2024, to October 31, 2025, in continuation of the earlier notification dated October 25, 2025.
