Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 14, 2026, issued circular on Re-triggering of E-ASM on Turmeric Contracts till August 4, 2026.

The exchange has re-triggered an Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% on Turmeric contracts due to significant price volatility based on high–low variation.

The trigger was activated on July 14, 2026 (based on both 5-day and 10-day price movement criteria).

The E-ASM will apply to all existing and upcoming Turmeric contracts until August 4, 2026.

No E-ASM is currently applicable to other listed commodities, except Coriander (applicable until July 21, 2026).

All other existing margins will continue as per standard rules.
