Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on July 15, 2026, notified regarding strategic collaboration with Augmont to strengthen the Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) ecosystem.

The following has been stated:

• NSE has entered into a strategic collaboration with Augmont Enterprises Limited to strengthen and expand India's Electronic Gold Receipts (EGR) ecosystem. The partnership aims to enhance the exchange-regulated spot gold market by improving EGR creation, redemption, liquidity, delivery, and price discovery, while encouraging greater participation from investors, jewellers, and other market participants.

• Launched on May 4, 2026, EGRs enable physical gold to be converted into dematerialised, exchange-traded securities, allowing investors to hold, trade, pledge, redeem, and lend gold through the exchange framework.

• The collaboration is also expected to promote the mobilisation of domestic gold holdings, improve the efficiency of the gold value chain, and support the development of a transparent and regulated bullion market in India.
