The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has announced a mock trading session for the Capital Market Segment on Saturday, July 18, 2026, to test the Introduction of the Closing Auction Session (CAS) in the Equity Cash Segment. The mock will comprise two trading sessions, with NEATPlus version 7.8.9 to be used exclusively for Trading Session-1 (CAS testing) and version 7.8.8 for Trading Session-2, which will follow the existing trading modalities.
The following has been stated:
Trading Session-1: Conducted to test the new CAS framework using NEATPlus 7.8.9, along with updated master files.
Trading Session-2: Conducted from the Disaster Recovery (DR) site using NEATPlus 7.8.8 under the existing trading framework.
Members must reinstall NEATPlus 7.8.8 after the completion of Session-1 to participate in Session-2.
Trades executed in Session-1 will not be carried forward to Session-2.
Live re-login window: 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM.
NSE has also scheduled an additional CAS mock trading session on July 25, 2026, with detailed timings to be notified separately.
Members are advised to download the prescribed software versions and master files, actively participate in both mock sessions, and refer to the annexures for operational instructions and participation guidelines.
