The Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) on July 15, 2026, notified regarding the NSQ declaration of the Saintlife Cough Syrup batch.
The following has been stated:
• It has been informed that Saintlife Cough Syrup manufactured by M/s Saintlife Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Batch No. OL25629 (Date of Manufacture: September 2025; Date of Expiry: August 2027) has been declared "Not of Standard Quality (NSQ)" based on the test report issued by the Central Drugs Testing Laboratory, Hyderabad, due to non-conformity with the manufacturer's specification regarding the product's description.
• ESIC has directed all user units to immediately stop using the affected batch, withdraw the stock from medical stores, dispensaries and patient care areas, seek replacement or refund from the vendor within 15 days, initiate action as per the applicable DG-ESIC tender conditions, and maintain records of the action taken.
