The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 16, 2026, issued the Updates for Implementation of Section 51A of UAPA, 1967: Updates to UNSC’s 1267/ 1989 ISIL (Da'esh) & Al-Qaida Sanctions List - Amendment in 01 entry.
The following has been stated:
• SEBI has informed market intermediaries about the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) amendment dated July 8, 2026, to the ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List (Resolution 1267) and directed them to ensure compliance with the updated sanctions list.
• Intermediaries shall screen all existing and new client accounts against the revised UNSC lists in accordance with Section 51A of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and SEBI's AML/CFT Guidelines dated June 6, 2024.
• They are also required to forward any delisting requests to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, inform affected persons about the UN Ombudsperson mechanism for delisting, and regularly monitor the UNSC Sanctions Committee List updates available on the SEBI website.
