Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on July 16, 2026, issued a notification regarding amendments to the UNSC ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List.

The following has been stated:-

•CDSL has informed Depository Participants that the UN Security Council has amended one entry in the ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida Sanctions List pursuant to Resolution 1267 (1999). 

•Market intermediaries must screen all existing and new accounts to ensure compliance with Section 51A of the UAPA, 1967, and SEBI's AML/CFT guidelines. 

•Any delisting requests received must be forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Ministry of External Affairs, while affected persons may also apply through the UN Ombudsperson. 

•SEBI and CDSL have advised all regulated entities to regularly monitor updates to the UNSC Sanctions List and ensure strict regulatory compliance.
