Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE), on July 17, 2026, issued operational guidelines for updating the Unique Client Code (UCC) database and client information. Members must promptly update any changes in client details, upload Demat account information only when modified, ensure correct Demat account formats and primary account tagging, maintain updated gross annual income details, and upload KYC information to KRAs within the prescribed timelines. Clients can transact only after their KRA status is 'KRA Validated' or 'KRA Registered'.

The Exchange has advised members to actively monitor system-generated files, including Permitted/Not Permitted to Trade lists, Mobile Number Revocation List, Demat and Bank Account Verification Status, and weekly reports on mandatory UCC fields. Members may also use the full file request facility to reconcile and synchronize their UCC data with the Exchange records.

Further, effective July 24, 2026, the facility to change a client's status from 'Inactive' to 'Active' through the Client Status module in UCI-Online will be discontinued. Such changes must instead be carried out through the 'Query Client', 'New Client Bulk Upload' module, or the Client Profiling API.
