Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 17, 2026, issued a notification regarding Compliance Guidelines for Digital Accessibility Circular - ‘Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and rules made thereunder mandatory compliance by all Regulated Entities’.

The following has been stated:-

•BSE has clarified the implementation of SEBI's digital accessibility requirements under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 for Trading Members.

•Standard digital platforms used without accessibility-impacting customisation may rely on a vendor-provided IAAP-certified accessibility audit report, subject to prescribed conditions.

•Customised or in-house digital platforms, including websites, trading apps, and KYC systems, must undergo an independent accessibility audit by an IAAP-certified professional.

•The responsibility for ensuring digital accessibility compliance and implementing corrective measures remains solely with the concerned Trading Members.

•Trading Members must submit the final Accessibility Audit Report for digital platforms to the Exchange by July 31, 2026, with submission modalities to be notified separately.
