Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 17, 2026, notified regarding the revised FATCA/UBO/NPO validations and file structure on the BSE StAR MF Platform.

The following has been stated:

• BSE has notified that, based on inputs from Registrars and Transfer Agents (RTAs), the FATCA module on the BSE StAR MF Platform will now include additional Non-Profit Organization (NPO) tax descriptions, namely Society, Trust, FCRA, NGO, and Section 25/Section 8 Company. Further, enhanced FATCA/UBO/NPO validations will be implemented by RTAs from September 1, 2026, across the User Interface (UI), Bulk File Upload Utility, and APIs. Members shall ensure that clients' FATCA/UBO/NPO information is complete, accurate, and verified before order placement, as incomplete or inconsistent details may result in transactions being rejected by RTAs.

• Members using third-party or in-house applications are advised to update their systems in line with the revised FATCA file structure and validation requirements before the implementation date.
