Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on July 14, 2026, issued a corrigendum regarding Operational Scheme Guidelines for the component scheme- Integrated Cold Chain & Value Addition Infrastructure (Cold Chain Scheme) - Support to Setting up of Multi Product Food Irradiation Units of PMKSY.

The following has been stated: -

•The Ministry has issued a corrigendum to the Operational Scheme Guidelines dated August 06, 2024, for the PMKSY component scheme on support for setting up Multi-Product Food Irradiation Units.

•The minimum land requirement has been reduced to 1 acre for both standalone and integrated irradiation units.

•Applicants may now submit either an MoU with the Department of Atomic Energy or a recommendation letter, with the final MoU to be submitted within 60 days of approval.

•All other provisions of the Scheme Guidelines dated August 06, 2024, remain unchanged.
