The National Stock Exchange has announced a mock trading session on Saturday, July 25, 2026, to test its trading infrastructure, recovery mechanisms, and system preparedness. All Broker Dealers and Remote Trading Participants are advised to actively participate across all trading software and subsequently re-login to the live environment to ensure seamless connectivity before trading resumes on Monday, July 27, 2026.
The following has been stated:
The mock session will cover multiple market segments, including Index Futures, Index Options, Single Stock Futures & Options, Currency Futures & Options, Depository Receipts, Bharat Bond Index Futures, Equity, NSE IFSC Receipts (USAIDR), and Negotiated Large Trading (NLT). Trading will be conducted in one or two sessions depending on the segment, with specified pre-open, normal trading, pre-close, and trade modification timings.
No settlement obligations (funds pay-in/pay-out) will arise from trades executed during the mock session, and members should not transfer any data files for the session.
Changes made on the Exchange CEL portal during the mock day or any Exchange holiday will be carried forward to the live environment and become effective on the next trading day.
A Live Re-login window will be available from 20:30 hrs to 21:00 hrs on the same day to verify connectivity and avoid login issues on the next trading day.
Members should monitor the Exchange website for any further updates relating to the mock trading session.
