The Rules also provide for free education for children up to 14 years of age, adoption of the NEP 2020 language policy, protection of the rights of linguistic minorities to establish schools, and establishment of facilities such as adult education centres, Balvatikas/Anganwadis, literacy centres, village libraries, resource centres, and programmes for out-of-school children, thereby creating a unified regulatory framework for school education in the Union Territory.
