Industry Specific ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on July 20, 2026, notified regarding the Reporting of FCNR (B) Deposits, External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs) and Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings (OFCBs) mobilized under Reserve Bank’s Swap Facility.

To strengthen India's balance of payments and encourage foreign capital inflows, the RBI announced a concessional swap facility on June 05, 2026, for fresh Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) [FCNR (B)] deposits, Overseas Foreign Currency Borrowings (OFCBs), and External Commercial Borrowings (ECBs). The facility became operational on June 08, 2026, and remains available until September 30, 2026, for FCNR (B) deposits and until December 31, 2026, for OFCBs and ECBs. 

The scheme received a strong response, attracting total foreign exchange inflows of USD 20.718 billion by July 17, 2026, comprising USD 17.406 billion through FCNR (B) deposits, USD 1.970 billion through OFCBs, and USD 1.342 billion through ECBs.
