The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on July 22, 2026, issued update on Point to Point (PTP) Connectivity at Co-location.
NSE IFSC Ltd., in reference to its earlier circular dated July 25, 2023 and pursuant to IFSCA’s Master Circular dated June 05, 2026, has expanded the permissible locations for Point-to-Point (PTP) connectivity at co-location facilities. Broker dealers, Remote Trading Participants (RTPs), and Managed Colocation Service Providers (MCSPs) are now allowed to establish one or more leased lines from different telecom providers for trading-related activities, system access, monitoring, and data transfers. These PTP links are privately managed by participants and remain outside the Exchange’s trading and data dissemination network.
Eligible participants must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Exchange for availing PTP connectivity. Broker dealers and RTPs are required to apply through the ENIT platform, while MCSPs and provisional members must submit applications and undertakings through prescribed annexures. The Exchange permits PTP connectivity from co-location racks to multiple destinations, including offices in GIFT City SEZ, other recognized stock exchanges (in IFSC, India, or overseas), third-party data centers, and cloud-based infrastructure providers.
To facilitate such connectivity, the Exchange provides infrastructure support and allows telecom vendors such as Tata Communications Ltd., Microscan Infocommtech Private Limited, and Tikona Infinet Private Limited within its co-location facility. Additionally, temporary VPN access may be granted to members for setup or emergency purposes, subject to approval and restricted to pre-approved ports unless otherwise justified.
